Israeli occupation announces arrest of Asim Barghouthi

SANAA, Jan. 8 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation forces said on Tuesday that they had arrested Palestinian, Asim Barghouthi, who accused him of carrying out an operation near the settlement of Giv’at Asaf on December 13, killing three soldiers.

According to a statement of the occupation army, units of the Israeli police and army forces, along with elements of the Shin Bet security service participated in the arrest of Barghouthi.

The Israeli occupation forces attributed to Assem Barghouthi his participation with his brother, Saleh, in an operation near “Ofra” settlement near the occupied city of Ramallah, wounding seven settlers.

The occupation army was able to assassinate the martyr Saleh Barghouti on December 13, in the town of Sarda, north of Ramallah.
