FM confirms commitment of Political Council, Salvation Gov’t to Stockholm agreements

SANAA, Jan. 6 (YPA) -Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf on Sunday confirmed, during his meeting with the UN Special Envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths, the commitment of the Supreme Political Council and the National Salvation Government to implementation of Stockholm agreements.

During the meeting, Sharaf indicated to the exiled Hadi government’s evasion of its obligations to implement the Stockholm agreement as well as attempts of Saudi-led aggression coalition to foil outcomes reached in the consultations.

Sharaf said that the coalition forces created obstacles to prevent the entry of humanitarian aid, commercial goods and oil derivatives, referring to the suffering of many citizens due to the continued unjustified closure of Sanaa International Airport.

He called on the United Nations and Griffiths to pressure the exiled Hadi’s government to deal positively with the confidence-building procedures agreed in the peace consultations.
