Update: Army carries out offensive in Jizan

JIZAN, Jan. 2 (YPA) – The Yemen army on Wednesday carried out an offensive against sites of coalition-backed militias in front of Jizan border province, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

The army controlled several sites during the offensive in the east of Nar mount.

Dozens of the militias were killed and injured in the offensive which lasted for more than six hours.

Furthermore, the army seized large number of military equipment.
