MARIB, Dec. 23 (YPA) – Media sources loyal to the Saudi-led coalition on Saturday reported that last coalition military camps overlooking the city of Marib اhas fallen at the hands of the Yemeni army.
According to the sources, the army forces have taken control of Kawfl camp, one of the largest mercenary camps directly overlooking the city of Marib, inflicting heavy losses on the militants in addition to seizing weapons in large numbers.
The attack left scores of militants dead and wounded including prominent leaders.
The sources pointed out that the militias suffered a great defeat and psychological trauma, confirming that most of their commanders fled towards the Palace of General Ali Mohsen Saleh in Wadiah port.
The victories achieved by the Army forces over the past two days liberated and cleared 90% of the area of Sirwah District in a large-scale military offensive, while army continuing its progress in preparation to storm the city of Marib.
