ABYAN, Dec. 20 (YPA) – Dozens of resident in Ahwar district of Yemen’s southern province of Abyan on Thursday organized a protest rally against the Saudi-backed exiled Hadi’s authorities.
At the rally, the protesters cut off the main road linking between two provinces of Hadramout and Abyan, demanding the authorities of the province to return of an electricity to the district that has been switch off since the last year.
The protesters took the government of Hadi and its governor full responsibility, threatening to escalate and cut off roads until the electricity is turn on.
The participants denouncing false promises by the government of Hadi to turn on the electricity.
“The power cut doubles the suffering of citizens and exhausts their living due to the ongoing disregard from the government of Hadi,” protesters added.
