SANAA, Dec. 20 (YPA) – Belgium Foreign Minister Didier Reynders will demand a ban on the sale of arms to Saudi Arabia on the European level in the coming days, according to Belgian official sources.
Belgium, in October, has already submitted an initiative to discuss the arms embargo on Saudi Arabia at the European level, against the backdrop of the killing of the Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi inside the Saudi consulate in Istanbul.
On the same month, the Belgian foreign Minister accused major European Union countries of obstructing arms embargo on Riyadh, an aftermath of the killing of “Khashoggi,” although “Reynders ” did not name those countries, the diplomatic sources said.
However, he meant Britain and France that linked to huge contracts for supplying arms to Saudi Arabia.
