US Administration: We will continue to support Saudi Arabia, hold Saudi journalist’s killers accountable

SANAA, Dec. 15 (YPA) – The US Administration has confirmed its intention to continue its military cooperation with Saudi Arabia and will hold Saudi officials responsible over the killing of Saudi Journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

The move came in the first comment on the Senate vote on Saudi Arabia.

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said on Friday that, “President Trump is determined to make sure that we protect America while holding accountable those who committed the heinous murder of Jamal Khashoggi”.

The U.S. Senate on Thursday passed a resolution to end American support for the kingdom’s war in Yemen and another measure condemning the killing of a dissident Saudi journalist.
