US Hawker Hunter jet crashes in the Pacific during drills

SANAA, Dec. 14 (YPA) – A US Hawker Hunter jet went down in the ocean after taking off from Honolulu International Airport, a US military report said Thursday.

According to the military report issued by the Air Command of the US National Guard in Hawaii, the US fighter was conducting aerial exercises over the Pacific Ocean.

A technical fault caused a defect in the fighter, which led to its fall down in the water and the pilot was taken to the hospital.

The Air Command said that the pilot was slightly injured and was able to get out of the plane through the emergency capsule.
