SANAA, Dec. 11 (YPA) – Head of the National Committee for Prisoners Affairs and member of the national negotiating delegation, Abdelqader al-Mortada, on Tuesday revealed the latest developments reached by the two delegations participating in Yemen consultations in Sweden on the file of prisoners .
“The lists of prisoners and detainees from all sides were exchanged today, and the presented lists contained more than 15,000 prisoners and detainees,” said al-Mortada in a statement to Almasirah TV Channel.
Al-Mortada explained that the next step is to reveal the fate of the missing in the lists that were handed over, and the fourth step is to verify the statements, and then the role of the International Committee of Red Cross to begin the logistical preparations, starting from the cities of Sayoun and Sanaa, the two stations where the prisoners would be collected.
“Revealing the fate of the missing and disappeared is the most important step to reach the implementation of the prisoner exchange agreement,” he added.
