Parliament extends term for Speaker, Presidency members

SANAA, Dec. 8 (YPA) – The Yemeni Parliament on Saturday approved extending the terms for the parliament speaker Yahya al-Ra’i and the presidency members.

At the meeting, the parliament reviewed its agenda for the current period, which includes discussing the developments at the national arena, especially Saudi-led coalition escalation in the province of Hodeidah, as well as the economic situation in light of the economic war and unjust siege imposed by the coalition countries on Yemen.

The parliament commended the efforts made by the national negotiators delegation in Sweden consultations, urging them to do their best to achieve the supreme national interests of the Yemeni people.
