Political Council appreciates UN, Kuwait role in facilitating national delegation travel to Sweden

SANAA, Dec. 4 (YPA) – The Supreme Political Council on Tuesday expressed its gratitude for the efforts made by UN envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffiths, and the State of Kuwait to facilitate the travel of the national negotiating delegation to Sweden.

In a statement, the Council appreciated Kuwait’s support for the success of the political process and peaceful solution in Yemen, and the logistic support it provided in coordination with the United Nations to ensure the necessary security and technical arrangements for transporting the national delegation.

At the same time, the Council stressed its firm position on peace and the political process, hoping that this positive attitude of the State of Kuwait as an indicator to stop the aggression and siege on Yemen.

The statement expressed the council’s thanks to the Sultanate of Oman for its humanitarian stance towards Yemen and for receiving the wounded of the Yemeni army.
