38 dead bodies of southern recruits, 65 wounded arrive in Aden

ADEN, Nov. 8 (YPA) – At least 38 dead bodies of UAE-backed southern recruits and 65 wounded arrived on Wednesday evening at Al-Jamhoriyah Hospital in the southern port city of Aden, a medical official told Yemen Press Agency.

The dead and wounded recruits, mostly children, were transferred from the western coast front, which is witnessing fierce battles between the Yemeni army forces and UAE-backed southern militias loyal to Saudi-led coalition in outskirts of Hodeidah city, according to military sources.

The sources said that the UAE resorted to dig collective graves outside of al-Khokha town of Hodeidah to bury bodies of dozens of militiamen from the southern provinces.

The UAE occupation forces’ command prevented the transfer of bodies to Lahj and Aden provinces, fearing to affect the underway recruitment process therein to reinforce the western coast front.
