SANAA – On Jan. 8, Yemen’s President of the Supreme Political Council Saleh al-Sammad met with then visiting UN deputy envoy Maeen Sharim.
During the meeting, Mr. president expressed Yemen’s disappointment towards the United Nations’ stances over the ongoing Saudi-led military aggression coalition and the all-out blockade set by the coalition forces against the Yemeni people.
Mr. president al-Sammad reminded the UN official about the political agreements sponsored by the UN before the Saudiled coalition intervened in Yemen, mentioning that when the Gulf states changed their positions and blew up all deals that had been reached by all parties, the United nations kept silent.
Through these contradictory positions, President al-Sammad conveyed the UN deputy envoy a letter to the United Nations.
