Yemeni students in Malaysia hold protest rally

SANAA, Nov. 2 (YPA) – Yemeni students in Malaysian on Friday held a stand rally

at the Aden government embassy in Kuala Lumpur to protest against the non-payment of their dues and bad treatment from the Malaysian authorities.

In a statement, the students said that Malaysian universities began threatening them with expulsion and call the police to arrest them after the Ministry of Higher Education of the Government of Aden delayed the payment of seats in their colleges.

The statement called for “the rapid payment of tuition fees for the year 2017-2018, so as not to deprive students from entering the final examinations and dismissal from the university, as well as the rapid disbursement of the third quarter and the fourth of all the scholarships.”

The statement also stressed the need to “distribute the free seats offered by Malaysian universities to students with special expenses, not to others,” referring to the students of the government of Hadi or allied tribesmen who receive seats and scholarships in Malaysia at the expense of the first and low-income students
