Health Minister meets UNICEF official

SANAA, Oct. 30 (YPA) – Minister of Health Taha al-Mutawakil on Tuesday discussed with Khairat Kabalari, UNICEF regional director of the Organization of Motherhood and Childhood.

At the meeting, officials also discussed the mutual cooperation between the UNICEF and the the ministry in various health fields.

The minister indicated to the need of Yemen to the medical supplies, especially nurseries, respirators and anesthesia, noting the UNICEF’s role and its support to the health sector, especially in the fight against the cholera epidemic.

The meeting touched upon the aspects related to FAO support for immunization programs and vaccination against communicable diseases and control of the cholera epidemic.

Meanwhile, the UNICEF official affirmed the organization’s readiness to support the sector with the medical equipment.
