17 Afghans soldiers killed and injured in car bomb attack in Kabul

SANAA, Oct. 27 (YPA) – At least five Afghan soldiers were killed and 12 others injured in a suicide car bomb attack on an Afghan police training center in Wardak province in the southern part the capital Kabul.

“A suicide bomber blew up his car at the entrance of the national police base, targeting two vehicles carrying al-Qaeda fighter s,” Sputnik quoted spokesman Abdul Rahman Mengal as saying.

“The attack resulted in the death of five people and the wounding of 12 others,” Mengal said.

He stressed that the death toll is likely to increase due to the fatalities.

No one has claimed responsibility for the attack so far, he added

Last Saturday, Afghanistan has witnessed scores of dead and wounded, following more than 100 terrorist attacks on the first polling day in Afghanistan’s legislative elections.
