EU parliament calls for stopping arms export to Saudi

SANAA, Oct. 25 (YPA) – European Union’s parliament majority voted on Thursday to impose a wide ban on arms sales to Saudi Arabia due to the disastrous humanitarian situation and war crimes caused by Saudi-led military intervention in Yemen.

The move came during its meeting held to discuss the issue of killing and torture of the Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi in Turkey’s capital of Istanbul.
