HR ministry condemns coalition’s massacres in Hodeidah

SANAA, Oct. 25 (YPA) – The Ministry of Human Rights on Thursday condemned the Saudi-led coalition crimes and massacres against the citizens in Hali and Beit al-Faqih districts in Hodeidah province.

In a statement obtained by Yemen Press Agency, the ministry said that the aggression air forces directly attacked the citizens as they passed the highway on the 7th of July Street in Hali district, killing three children and wounding six others as well as burning a number of citizens’ cars.

“The aggression coalition also brutally targeted a gathering of the farmers of Bani Abbass in the popular market for selling vegetables Beit al-Faqih district, killing and injuring over 3o civilians, the statement read.

The statement confirmed that that the aggression’s states are committing serious crimes and violations against the Yemeni people on daily basis.

It warned the international community, in particular, the security and human Rights councils, saying that the immoral and inhumane actions carried out by the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen and the military escalation in Hodeidah will lead to a terrible and unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe.

The statement called on the United Nations and its various agencies to shoulder their moral responsibilities and take immediate decisions that would contribute to protect civilians in Yemen by halting the coalition’s war and lifting the blockade.
