Dhamar Hospital receives medicines shipment from ICRC to kidney dialysis center
DHAMAR, Oct. 17 (YPA) – Dhamar General Hospital on Wednesday received a shipment of drugs provided by the International Committee of the Red Cross(ICRC), as a second payment within the project adopted to support the dialysis center of the hospitah, an official source at Dhamar General Hospital said.
The head of the Hospital, Jamal Hassan al-Shami, said in a statement that the shipment includes five thousand dialysis sessions, covering the needs of the center for two months.
Al-Shami pointed out that the shipment comes within the framework of a project adopted by the ICRC to operate the center for a full year, indicating that the project includes providing the needs of the center of solutions, medicines and supplies for dialysis sessions to ensure its operation and continuously provide humanitarian services.
Al-Shami praised the efforts of the ICRC in supporting the Hospital over the past three years, and in its initiative to provide the needs of the dialysis center and contribute to alleviate the suffering of patients who are threatened with death due to access to dialysis sessions.
Al-Shami called on international health organizations and bodies to intervene urgently to support the efforts of Dhamar General Hospital in the operation of emergency obstetric, intensive care, the Department of Surgery, and provide medicines and medical supplies necessary to continue providing medical and health services, especially in light of the difficult conditions experienced by the country.
