Protests to continue until Saudi forces leave Mahra: Tribal leader

MAHRA, Oct. 11 (YPA) – Tribal leader Sheikh Ali Salem al-Harizi on Thursday said that the protests against Saudi forces presence in Mahra province will continue until those forces leave the province territory.

In a post on his Facebook page, al-Harizi warned Saudi Arabia and the UAE “of committing any follies and use of forces against the demonstrators in Mahra.”

The Saudi forces are continuing in field constructions to lay the Saudi oil pipeline inside Yemeni territory in Mahra amid tribal protests and sit-ins against this project, which is considered a violation of Yemen sovereignty.

Mahra’s Tawf Shehn tribes removed cement marks of Saudi company implementing the pipeline project during the past weeks.
