Former southern president calls to end war

SANAA, Oct. 10 (YPA) – Former southern president Ali Nasser Mohammed on Wednesday said the world is seeking a political solution to end Yemen’s four-year-old war, suggesting that there were no military solution.

In an interview with London-based Al-Arab daily, Mohammed said the secessionism would not be the right solution for the southern cause, but a united federation state.

The former president said all warring parties have come to a definite conclusion that defeating each other militarily would not take place as all parties have absolutely convinced to end the conflict through an agreed political solution to avoid the world’s worsening humanitarian catastrophe.
