Performance level in rural water projects’ authority in Amran discussed in meeting

AMRAN, Oct. 9 (YPA) – A meeting headed by Amran Governor Dr. Faisal Jouman on Tuesday discussed performance level in the branch of General Authority for Rural Water Supply Projects and its plan for the next year in several districts of the provinces.

During the meeting, Director General of the Branch in province Eng. Kamal al-Makhadhy reviewed a report on the water projects executed during next week in clarifying  three wells in Habour, Dhoulima and Souda districts and rehabilitate them and re-operate them using the alternative energy provided by the UNICEF.

He added that the next year plan for the authority includes executing several water projects according to the five-year plan financed by the UNICEF concerning the finance of rural water projects with a cost estimated to  $ 37 million.

Jouman affirmed the importance of continue coordination among the local authority in province, the branch of the authority  and the international donors to activate the future plans to expand its future plans in the sector of water, especially in the so far and deprived regions.
