James Mattis : “Russian nuclear” is the real threat to USA

SANAA, Sept. 26 (YPA) – US Secretary of Defense declared that the Russian nuclear is posing a real threat to the security of the United States of America.

The “Russian nuclear threat” is number one external threat to USA”, James Mattis, Defense secretary of the United States of America said on Wednesday  in a speech at Virginia Military Institute.

The Russian threat is the greatest danger, followed by the Chinese and North Korean nuclear threat, he added

The threat posed by North Korea is “Our concern now,” Mattis noted.

The US Defense secretary added that the nuclear threat is not too frequent, but a real danger.

He stressed that winning the nuclear war is not possible, so the start of nuclear war is not permissible.

Russia and the USA have more than 13,000 nuclear warheads, that is, 92 percent of the global nuclear arsenal is in the possession of Russia and the United States, The Russian newspaper “Vzglad” reported.

It must be pointed out that Russia views nuclear weapons as a deterrent weapon that prevents any possible aggression and can only be used for self-defense when “absolutely necessary.
