Southern sources: kidnappers are being subjected to worst crimes in UAE prisons in south of Yemen
ADEN, Sep. 19 (YPA) – A civil association in Aden province on Wednesday demanded the disclosure of the fate of dozens of hidden people, who are subjected to the worst types of torture in secret prisons in southern Yemen and supervised by the UAE directly, local sources told Yemen Press Agency.
The sources added that a protest carried out by the Association of Mothers of the Involuntarily Hidden in prisons in the province in front of the headquarters of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in f Khor Maksar district to demand the closure of those prisons.
The mothers have demanded the disclosure of the fate of their hidden sons, whose families have not been informed of their fate since the UAE coalition forces entered southern Yemen two years ago.
Other media sources reported that the mothers appealed to the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights to intervene and pressure on the violators of the Department of Security of Aden and the security belt forces and the UAE.
The mothers were surprised of the statements made by leaders in the security belt loyal to United Arab Emirates, which denied the existence of secret prisons, while the mothers confirmed the existence of secret prisons because their sons are still being forcibly hidden and unaccounted for since they were arrested.
