Yemeni army attacks coalition-backed militants in Bayda

BAYDA, Sept.19 (YPA) – The Yemeni army and popular committees on Wednesday launched an offensive on the positions of the coalition-backed militants in Natie district in the central province of Bayda, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

Dozens of the coalition-backed militants were killed when the army forces attacked their sites in the junction of Asha’ar area, leaving deaths and injuries in their ranks, the official added.

The official confirmed that several militants were captured in the attack.

Two military mechanisms one of them was carrying 12.7mm heavy machine gun were destroyed in addition to seizing a large quantity of heavy and medium weapons in the offensive.
