Violent clashes erupt between UAE-backed militants in Abyan

ABYAN, Sept. 18 (YPA) – Violent clashes erupted between the southern transitional militia, loyal to the UAE, and tribal militants in Abyan, a local source told Yemen Press Agency on Tuesday.

Local residents reported that clashes broke out in the area of Alrieas’s junction and Alhadan near the city of Lauder, between the southern transitional security Belt militants and tribal men.

All types of weapons were used in the clashes, the sources added

This comes after the UAE occupation militants raided on the areas, villages and homes of citizens in many districts of Lauder, al-Mahfd and Mudea, under the pretext of searching for al-Qaeda elements which are funded by the UAE and Saudi Arabia in order to maintain its interests in the southern provinces.
