Exiled Hadi’s govt plans to sell Yemen’s Embassy building in Moscow

SANAA, Sept.  17  (YPA) – Informed sources said that some staff of the Yemeni Embassy in Moscow and their brokers, headed by Ambassador Al-Wahishi are currently working to abandon the Yemeni Embassy building in Moscow in exchange for a (bribe).

The source reported that it exceeds $2 million planned to be shared among the beneficiaries who will give up the Yemeni Embassy building for Saudi Arabia.

According to the source, the Yemeni authorities, due to the strong relations at the time, obtained a large building as the headquarters of the Yemeni embassy in the era of the Soviet Union and the rent was considered low compared to similar buildings in an important location in the Russian capital

However, some members loyal to the so-called legitimate wanted to dispose of state property abroad prior to any political settlement.

This is not the first time that embassy buildings are being sold or ceded; and the Yemeni embassy in London is a good example, one of the sources said.

The source noted that the Foreign Ministry in the National Salvation government in Sanaa is standing against such deals and scandals to prevent them to achieve their goals.

Foreign Minister Hesham Sharaf contacted his Russian counterpart, Sergei La Farov, calling on him to intervene to stop this corrupt deal and put an end to these irresponsible actions by these people.
