Yemeni army launches offensive on coalition-backed militants in Taiz

TAIZ, Sept. 16 (YPA) – The Yemeni army and popular committees on Sunday launched an offensive on the positions of the coalition-backed militants in Yemen’s Taiz province, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

The army forces attacked the sites of the militants in Aba’ar district, in which the army forces controlled over several hills, the official said.

Several militants were killed and injured in the attack, the official confirmed.
