Lahj: Fire causes loss of more than 40 million riyals

LAHJ, Sep. 15 (YPA) – A huge fire broke out on Friday evening at one of the furniture and Household shop in Lahj province.

Yemen Press Agency correspondent reported  that a huge fire broke out in Habilain city of Radfan district, led to the destruction of all the contents of the shop with loss of more than 40 million Yemeni riyals.

The owner of the shop, Saleh Mohammed al-Halimi, said that the fire was caused by an Electrical fault during the operation of the generator of the shop, while the shop was closed and did not feel one of the fire only after the smoke rising from some outlets and the flames in the front of the architecture.

The fire caused terror and panic among the residents of the architecture, while citizens rushed to extinguish the fire only after it had spread throughout the shop.
