Gunmen attack transitional council’s militia in Lahj

LAHJ, Aug. 30 (YPA) – Unknown gunmen on Thursday attacked a military vehicle belonging to the militia of the southern transitional council funded by the UAE occupation forces in Lahj province, southern Yemen, according to Yemen Press Agency’s reporter.

Local sources told the agency’s reporter that an explosive device planed by unidentified gunmen and detonated remotely, targeted a military patrol of the so-called 3rd Hazm Brigade loyal to the council in Anad area.

The explosion was followed by heavy gunfire, the reporter added.

No casualties have been reported so far, and nobody claimed its responsibility for the attack.
