Yemeni army attacks Saudi-backed militias’ sites in Taiz

TAIZ, Aug. 29 (YPA) – The Yemeni army units on Wednesday launched a military operation, penetrating deep into the areas controlled by the Saudi-backed militia in Bir Pasha district, east of the city of Taiz, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

Several of the militiamen were killed and other wounded during the operation, the official added.

Earlier the day, the army forces stormed positions of the Saudi-led coalition militia in the hills overlooking al-Arish village at al-Wazeiyah adjourn, which resulted in many dead and wounded in ranks of the militia.
