Works Minister stresses importance of following up road maintenance

SANAA, Aug. 29 (YPA) – Minister of Public Works and Roads, Ghalib Mutlaq, on Wednesday stressed the importance of following up the maintenance work for roads and bridges in all provinces without exception.

During a meeting held at the ministry in Sanaa, Mutlaq noted to the systematic targeting of roads and bridges by the Saudi-led coalition warplanes, which increased the suffering of citizens.

The meeting discussed the routine maintenance works carried out by the ministry in the provinces through the Public Corporation for Roads and Bridges, with financing of the Road Maintenance Fund.

The reasons behind the failure of a number of road and bridge projects and the necessary means needed to complete those projects and other construction works were reviewed in the meeting.
