Iranian Chief of Staff: We will not allow rusty American ships to return to the Gulf

TEHRAN, Oct. 24 (YPA) – Major General Ali Abdollahi, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces and Commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters, affirmed on Saturday that “under no circumstances will rusty American warships be allowed to return to the waters of the Gulf.”

He said: “The armed forces have managed to neutralize the American navy, which Trump considers the pinnacle of American power, to the point that it is no longer able to approach the seas surrounding the Persian Gulf or Iranian waters.”

He added, criticizing Trump’s statements about destroying Iranian nuclear facilities: “If you have destroyed everything, what is the point of repeating the rhetoric that Iran does not possess nuclear weapons? It is a blatant contradiction to mislead public opinion.”

He concluded by emphasizing the Iranian leadership’s determination to confront America, its allies, and Israel, and the strategy of engaging enemies in prolonged confrontations to deplete their capabilities.
