Sanaa forces threaten Riyadh with major escalation after Saudi threats against Yemeni tribes

SANAA, Oct. 22 (YPA) – Yemen’s Sanaa-based armed forces issued a strongly worded military statement on Thursday in response to Saudi Arabia’s threat to target Yemeni tribes.

“The Saudi enemy’s threat to target Yemeni tribes will not go unanswered. If it proceeds with carrying out this threat, the consequences will be catastrophic and unpredictable. We will resort to major options we had not wanted to pursue, and Saudi Arabia will bear responsibility for the consequences, ” the Sanaa forces said in the statement.

The statement reiterated that armed forces would continue operations deep inside Saudi territories in defense of Yemen and its people, maintaining the equation of blockade for blockade and escalation for escalation.

It also vowed to target Saudi-backed troop concentrations until the aggression is halted and the blockade is lifted.

The statement also announced four military operations deep inside Saudi Arabia using ballistic missiles and drones over the previous 48 hours. According to the statement, the first operation targeted the Ministry of Defense building in Riyadh, scoring a direct hit.

The second targeted King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, reportedly disrupting air traffic at the airport.

The third operation targeted an Aramco facility in Yanbu, with Sana’a forces claiming a direct hit that sparked a fire at the site. The fourth targeted Abha International Airport, also reportedly scoring a direct hit.

The statement added that the operations were carried out in response to a major Saudi escalation against the Yemeni people.

It affirmed that Saudi warplanes had carried out more than 2,900 airstrikes and missile attacks against civilian targets during the latest 100-day escalation, resulting in dozens of incidents that left more than 562 people killed or injured, most of them women and children.
