Iranian Revolutionary Guard Navy warns Washington against expanding scope of confrontation

TEHRAN, Oct. 22 (YPA) – The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy Command issued a warning to the US military over what it described as provocation of ships and escalating maritime incidents.

 

In a message, it stated: “The arrogant US regime’s insistence on forcing ships to cross a mine-strewn sea lane illegally has led to an increase in maritime incidents day after day.”

 

It added that the “aggressor” US military should realize that continuing this approach could lead to expanding the confrontation to include US bases in the region, stressing that the message represents a “serious warning” to Washington.
