In a statement, the ministry condemned Saudi airstrikes on homes in Maqbana district, Taiz province, which killed nine people, including a woman and a girl, and injured 16 others, including women and children.
the ministry said the air attacks constitute a serious violation of international humanitarian law, particularly the Fourth Geneva Convention of 1949 and Additional Protocol I of 1977.
It criticized the international community’s silence, arguing that this enables further violations.
The ministry called on the UN Security Council, Human Rights Council, UN human rights office and rights organizations to condemn the attacks and pressure Saudi Arabia to meet its obligations under international humanitarian law.
