Israeli occupation forces blow up houses, villas in southern Lebanon

BEIRUT, Oct. 17 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation forces carried out, on Saturday, bombing operations in the towns of Aita al-Jabal and Ibl al-Saqi and the Jabal al-Hilal area in southern Lebanon, in a continued violation of the ceasefire.

The Lebanese National News Agency reported that the occupation forces detonated explosives on the outskirts of Aita al-Jabal in two phases. Last night, they also detonated a complex containing three villas in Jabal al-Hilal, east of Khiam, within the outskirts of Ibl al-Saqi, resulting in the destruction of four villas and three adjacent houses.

In addition, two houses on the outskirts of Aita al-Jabal, towards Beit Yahoun, were blown up.

Since March 2, the occupation has escalated its aggression against Lebanon, targeting towns and civilian infrastructure, resulting in thousands of martyrs and wounded, and the displacement of approximately 1.5 million people. This is despite the ceasefire memorandum of understanding on all fronts, including Lebanon, which Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced was signed electronically between Washington and Tehran on June 18, while the occupation continues its daily violations.
