Nine Killed, 16 injured in Saudi airstrikes on Taiz homes

TAIZ, Oct. 17 (YPA) – Nine civilians, including a young girl, were killed and 16 others, including children, were injured in four Saudi airstrikes targeting homes in the Hamir Al-Jabal area of Maqbanah district, west of Taiz province.

A local source identified the victims as Rakan Ammar Al-Akshi, Bashar Mamoun Saif, Fareq Mamoun Saif, Ayman Yahya Al-Aksh, Ashjan Yahya Al-Aksh, Anwar Adel Shuwait, Hammoud Adel Shuwait, and Raidan Adel Shuwait, in addition to a girl who died after being taken for treatment.

The source said the injured were transferred to hospital, while several victims remained trapped under the rubble, raising fears that the death toll could increase.

The source condemned the strikes on civilian homes and criticized the international community’s silence over civilian casualties.
