Saudi-backed factions empty Taiz Central Prison, relocate high-profile killers to city center amid Sanaa forces’ advance
TAIZ, Oct. 13 (YPA) – Security sources in Taiz revealed on Tuesday that Saudi-backed factions, affiliated with the Islah Party, evacuated the inmates of the Taiz Central Prison, emptying the facility of individuals facing major murder charges.
This move coincided with the rapid field advancement of Sanaa forces on the western front.
According to the sources, Islah-affiliated elements carried out a sweeping nocturnal evacuation operation to transport prisoners and commanders implicated in high-profile assassination and liquidation cases. Among those transferred are individuals accused of murdering Aseel Al-Jabzi and Iftihan Al-Mashhari, the director of the Cleanliness Fund loyal to the party, directing them toward the city center.
The sources indicated that these maneuvers serve as a cover to arrange the ultimate release of these prisoners under the pretext of deploying them to confront Sanaa forces.
The latter have reportedly reached within a few kilometers of the prison perimeter following their capture of positions in Al-Dhabab and the Al-Zahra neighborhood in Beer Basha.
