SANAA, Oct. 03 (YPA) – The Sanaa-based Ministry of Health and Environment declared on Saturday that 197 civilians have been killed or injured in Saudi airstrikes on Yemen since the start of the escalation, with the toll reaching 72 killed and 125 wounded.
During a press conference in Sanaa, the ministry clarified that Al-Sabeen Maternity and Childhood Hospital was damaged following Saudi airstrikes near the facility.
The strikes caused extensive damage to the building, its internal departments and medical equipment.
The ministry stressed that targeting hospitals and health facilities constitutes a blatant violation of international and humanitarian law, and said it demonstrates the Saudi regime’s determination to deprive the Yemeni people of their basic right to safe healthcare.
