Islah-affiliated leaders take surprise step ahead of possible withdrawal

TAIZ, Oct. 02 (YPA) – Military leaders affiliated with the Islah Party in the so-called Taiz Axis have taken unexpected steps in recent hours, which observers described as a possible prelude to a field withdrawal, amid continued advances by Sanaa forces, which have captured large areas of the province’s countryside.

Sources familiar with the matter said two military leaders affiliated with the Islah Party in Taiz had moved their families to two Arab countries in recent hours.

According to the sources, Khaled Fadel, the so-called commander of the Taiz Axis and an Islah-affiliated figure, recently relocated his wife and children to Amman, Jordan, via Aden Airport.

They added that Abdulaziz Al-Majidi, the so-called chief of staff of the axis, had also relocated his family to Cairo, Egypt.

The developments came after several Saudi- backed military leaders reportedly fled Taiz and Al-Turbah over the past two days via the Taiz-Lahj road. Their final destinations remain unknown, although reports said they had reached Aden.
