Senior Ansarallah official reports major advances in Taiz, issues statement to local residents

SANAA, Oct. 01 (YPA) – A senior official in the Ansarallah political bureau, Hezam al-Asad, reported on Thursday evening that Sanaa forces have achieved significant military advances in Taiz Governorate, according to a series of posts on the platform X.

“Taiz is a Yemeni ‘republic,’ not a Saudi ‘monarchy.’ Decision-making, land, and sovereignty in Taiz are strictly Yemeni,” al-Asad stated.

The official praised members of the armed forces and local residents in Taiz, commending their cooperation in countering and expelling coalition-backed forces linked to Saudi Arabia.

“Hats off to the honorable and free people of Taiz. The liberation and victories being achieved today are the fruit of your steadfastness, your resistance against Saudi-backed mobilization, and your honorable stance in supporting the armed forces to clear and secure your areas,” he added.

Al-Asad noted that Saudi-aligned forces resorted to detonating bridges and blocking roads prior to their withdrawal, characterizing these actions as acts of retaliation against local residents who supported the armed forces in securing liberated areas.

“It is time for the free people of Taiz to enjoy freedom and liberation, and for their areas to be cleared of Saudi forces and their local allies, similar to the rest of the liberated Yemeni regions,” al-Asad concluded.
