Shocking footage reveals military secrets of foreign forces near Bab Al-Mandab

SANAA, Sept. 29 (YPA) – Footage broadcast by Al-Masirah TV has revealed, for the first time, details of a secret foreign military base recently discovered in the Dhubab area near the Bab Al-Mandab Strait following Sanaa forces’ control of Yemen’s western coast.

The investigative report showed a massive military facility featuring an airport, runways, aircraft hangars, ground shelters and fortified underground installations.

The report provided the first filmed tour inside the facility, highlighting the scale of engineering works and fortifications that it said were built to modern military specifications, modeled on air bases located in strategic areas, islands and coastal sites across the region.

The footage showed also extensive concrete and steel fortifications, some camouflaged with layers of soil to make them harder to detect from the air, along with a network of shelters and military passages designed to protect equipment and ammunition.

The report also documented roads and logistical facilities linking Dhubab Airport to several military positions along the western coast, forming a network that, according to the report, was used to move troops, weapons and military equipment.

According to a member of Sanaa forces, several officers, including Saudi nationals, fled the airport by helicopter during the takeover.

The footage sheds light on the hidden military dimension of the Bab Al-Mandab area and highlights the scale of fortifications and installations established in one of the world’s most strategically important areas for international maritime security.
