Riyadh blocks account of former officer following remarks on Sanaa strikes

RIYADH, Sept. 28 (YPA) – Saudi authorities have blocked the social media account of former military officer and analyst Saad al-Omari following posts and audio recordings discussing cross-border attacks launched by Sanaa forces inside the Kingdom.

In posts widely circulated on the X platform, al-Omari addressed ongoing missile and drone attacks carried out by Sanaa forces targeting Saudi facilities. He noted that areas such as Abha and Khamis Mushait face frequent aerial targeting, particularly during the early morning hours.

Al-Omari also expressed sharp criticism toward Rashad al-Alimi, head of the Saudi-backed Presidential Leadership Council, and associated government officials, pointing to growing frustration over military and political developments in the region.

According to media reports, Saudi intelligence intervention led to the prompt suspension of al-Omari’s account to restrict the further spread of his statements regarding the Kingdom’s air defense operations and military situation.
