Russia calls for implementation of UN-approved Gaza peace plan

NEW YORK, Sept. 27 (YPA) – Russia has called for the implementation of the Gaza Strip peace plan endorsed by the United Nations Security Council, emphasizing the importance of proceeding with its execution to help achieve regional stability and calm.

Addressing the UN General Assembly, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov criticized the stalled implementation of the plan, expressing Moscow’s readiness to cooperate with international parties to contribute to Middle East stability.

Lavrov warned of the rapid deterioration of the situation in the West Bank amid intensifying Israeli settlement activities, stating that the time has come to ensure the establishment of a Palestinian state based on established UN resolutions and international frameworks.
