103 People arrested during protests held in New York against Netanyahu

NEW YORK, Sept. 26 (YPA) – New York witnessed widespread protests coinciding with the participation of the head of the occupation government, Benjamin Netanyahu, in the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

Hundreds gathered near the headquarters to protest the Gaza war, demanding its cessation and an end to American support.

Police set up barriers and closed roads, and announced the arrest of 103 people on charges of disturbing the peace, later releasing them, including Democratic congressional candidate Darialisa Avila-Cevale and City Councilwoman Chi Osi.

The protests coincided with international delegations leaving the Assembly hall during Netanyahu’s speech.
