Field commander in Saudi-backed factions killed in clashes with Sanaa forces in Lahj

LAHJ, Sept. 25 (YPA) – A field commander from the Saudi-backed forces’ brigades was killed on Friday during fierce clashes with Sanaa forces in the Al-Aghbara mountain range, north of Ras Al-Ara in Lahj Governorate, southern Yemen.

Pro-Saudi media outlets confirmed the death of Rabbash Mahmoud Al-Ka’luli, Chief of Staff of the 2nd Battalion in the 6th ‘Al-Amaliqa’ Brigade. Reports indicated he was killed alongside several fighters deployed by Saudi Arabia in recent days during heavy engagements in the Al-Aghbara front.

This development follows reports of heavy casualties among Saudi-aligned factions, with remnants retreating after an attempted push toward ‘Naman’ mount and surrounding areas in Al-Wazi’iyah, west of Taiz governoarate. The clashes reportedly resulted in the downing of three drones and the disabling of several military vehicles.
