Sanaa’s Foreign Ministry strongly denounces Saudi practices, likening them to ‘ISIS’ crimes in Yemen

SANAA, Sept. 19 (YPA) – The Foreign Ministry in Sanaa stated on Saturday that the ISIS-like criminal acts adopted by the Saudi regime in Yemen require the international community to uphold its responsibilities.

In an official statement, the ministry noted that these actions recall past measures taken by the Saudi regime across several countries in the region, primarily Yemen, Iraq, and Syria.

The ministry affirmed that Yemen retains the legitimate right to respond to any Saudi activities tied to ISIS that target its security and stability, adding that necessary measures will be taken in response.

Concluding its statement, the ministry noted that the outcry following any legitimate Yemeni response by certain regimes acts as a cover and legitimization for Saudi activities associated with ISIS.

This statement follows an announcement on Friday by the military spokesperson for Sanaa forces, Brig. Gen. Yahya Sarie, who stated that “criminal attempts in the capital, Sanaa, carried out by the Saudi enemy under an ISIS guise, were foiled.”

Sarie emphasized that such criminal attempts against the Yemeni people “will not pass without a response.”
