2,500 Zionist settlers storm Al-Aqsa Mosque in one week

RAMALLAH, Sept. 18 (YPA) – The Palestinian Information Center “Ma’ta” reported that 2,500 settlers stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque during the past week under heavy protection from the occupation forces.

The center pointed to the escalation of incursions that have gone beyond mere presence to the performance of religious rituals and collective reading of the Torah, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Religious Endowments.

Palestinian authorities considered the violations a blatant breach of the historical and legal status quo in Jerusalem, amid fears of their escalation during Jewish seasons and holidays.
