Israeli occupation closes Rafah, Kerem Shalom crossings citing Jewish holidays

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Sept. 13 (YPA) – The Palestinian Crossings and Borders Authority announced on Sunday that Israeli occupation authorities have closed the Rafah and Kerem Shalom border crossings to passenger traffic and commercial goods.

The authority stated that the closure decision was made on security grounds under the pretext of “Jewish holidays,” specifically Rosh Hashanah (the Hebrew New Year).

The closure halts the entry of essential goods and humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip, further exacerbating the humanitarian situation.
